For sale is this refurbished quite rare set of 45mm aluminium exhausts for a Ducati Superbike 748/916/996/998. They're made by the well-known and reputed Italian company Silmotor, who used to be called Sil Moto, and come as shown with their original dB-killers and original Silmotor mounting brackets.

Silmotor have a strong reputation when it comes to their materials, finish and sound. The Sil Motor logo (with a space, because in older times the company was officially called Sil Motor and this gradually became Silmotor) is engraved/embossed in the rear plate. The holes for the dB-killers are on top as opposed to on the bottom, where they usually are. This quirkiness is what I totally love about Italian stuff.

Jobs done in about 14(!) hours:

• deep clean sleeves and outlets (used to be blackened)

• sand link pipes (grits used: 400)

• sand and polish front/back plates and outlet pipes (grits used: 400 > 1,000)

• cleaned and sanded the dB-killers and both Phillips screws

• cleaned the mounting brackets by removing the rubbers (cleaned those also) and sanding the stainless steel parts with grit 400

• nourished the aluminium sleeves with 5 x WD40, so they have a shine to them once more

• removed the original damaged decals and replaced them with official heat-resistant decals from a bit more modern era (up to 300 degrees Celsius). If you don't like them, they can easily be removed.

They don't have an E sound proof and it says "exclusivamente per uso agonistico", meaning "for competition use only". Doesn't Italian just sound sexy! Expect a throaty, deep and loud sound. Just the way you want it;)
